
China willing to take Australian PM’s visit as opportunity to strengthen communication, expand cooperation: FM spokesperson

When asked to introduce the background of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's visit to China and China's expectations, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Albanese's visit coincides with the second decade of the China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership. Under the leadership of the leaders of the two countries and the joint efforts of the two sides, China-Australia relations have continued to improve and develop, she said.
At the invitation of Premier of the State Council Li Qiang, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will pay an official visit to China from July 12 to 18, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry's website on Tuesday.
China is willing to work with Australia to take this visit as an opportunity to strengthen communication, enhance mutual trust, expand practical cooperation and promote the forward development of China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership, Mao added.
